Self-Service Software installs built in to Goverlan Client
Many software packages used in our organisation can be installed silently and without worry regarding licencing etc. Our service desk receive many calls for users asking for the latest Flash Player, Adobe Reader, Browsers as well as our bespoke apps.
If the client installed on the desktop could stay present and upon being clicked present a list of applications the user can ‘pull’ down to their machine from a published list in the admin console. This would allow the user to help themselves to a pre-configured list of apps.
As the apps would already be placed and setup within the Goverlan Admin Suite to work when being pushed to the remote client, hopefully it shouldn’t be too much back end work to get the remote client to fetch said data. Saving us many calls being logged, lots of menial work also.
